Design, Synthesis and Evaluation of a Mechanism-Based Inhibitor for Gelatinase A


Specific interactions of cells within the extracellular matrix are critical for the normal function of organisms.  The alterations are carried out in various cellular processes such as organ development, ovulation, fetus implantation in the uterus, embryogenesis, would healing and angiogenesis.  Inhibition of the MMPs can be useful in the treatment of various diseases such as cancer, neurological conditions, inflammations, and autoimmune diseases.
